Hello! I am Amit Mondal, Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur. I joined the institute on July 14, 2025. I completed my M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and have also qualified UGC NET. I come with industry experience in web development, Java development, and technical support, having worked with companies like Tangent Tech Solutions, Royal Cyber, and DXC Technology. I serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, a position I joined on July 14, 2025. I hold an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and I have qualified the UGC NET, which reflects my strong academic foundation and research capability.
Before entering academia, I built industry experience across multiple technical roles. As a Frontend Developer at Tangent Tech Solutions, I developed responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern web technologies. During my time as a Java Developer Intern at Royal Cyber Pvt. Ltd., I designed intuitive Java-based applications, integrated data from multiple sources, and contributed to Agile-driven development processes. At DXC Technology, I worked as a Technical Support Engineer, resolved client issues efficiently, enhanced maintenance workflows, and contributed to reducing system downtime.
I actively work with full-stack development, Java, Python, Angular, React, Node.js, SQL, and machine learning techniques. My academic projects include developing a machine-learning-based phishing website detection model and analyzing optical fiber parameters under non-linear conditions.
I remain committed to delivering impactful teaching, guiding students toward practical problem-solving skills, and contributing to meaningful research in the fields of machine learning, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
